25/12: 2012 Movie Plot Holes
Well, I saw the movie 2012 on Christmas Eve. It's odd, that after seeing the movie, people often ask me "will the world really end in 2012? Will it really end like that?"
As if I would know!
However, I tell them confidently "No", fully confident the answer is "no". In any case, the plot is as full of holes as any other "world catastrophe" disaster movie.

We are on the verge of the most important public health event since the 1960's, maybe longer.
Last night, we all went to see 'Dralion', the latest production by Cirque du Soleil. A year earlier, we had seen 'Varekai'. In short, Dralion is better than Varekai.
The most recent US stimulus package contains a watered-down version of a "protectionist" clause. In the original proposal, recipients of aid from the package would have to buy US steel only in their construction projects. This was widely decried internationally as a bad thing, and it is. The reasons it is bad go far beyond what the media reported, however.
